Answer:Great question! We recommend standard weight, clay clumping litter for best results. As long as it's clumping, it will work in the Litter-Robot; however, user experience varies based on your cat's waste, volume, and environment.

Question:can i use okocat wood clumping litter?

Answer:Yes, that would work in the Robot.

Question:Can this be used with arm and hammer slide cat litter?

Answer:Hello and thank you for the great question! Yes, you can use any standard weight-clumping litter as long as the granules are small enough to fit through the screen. Arm and Hammer is a bit heavy and we do recommend only filling to about 1/2 inch below the fill line with that particular brand.

Question:Can you use non clumping litter like pretty litter or crystals?

Answer:Nope. Only clumping litter

Question:Can a kitten under 5 lbs use if in manual mode?

Answer:Great question! Kittens that weigh 5 pounds or more can use Litter-Robot 3 (with or without Connect) in automatic mode. If your kitten does not meet this minimum weight, leave Litter-Robot off to operate in “semi-automatic” mode. When you see your kitten has used Litter-Robot, turn it on, and Litter-Robot will automatically perform a clean cycle. Once it finishes, turn the power off. This way, your kitten is safe while they get accustomed to Litter-Robot at a young age, and you don’t have to scoop the litter box!

Question:How long is the power cord?

Answer:The power cord is about 6 feet long with a brick on the plug in end and is very thin. If you have a cat that is still into chewing on electrical wires, it would be prudent that you invest in a cord protector to keep him/her from destroying the cord.
